Guildines on how to use VCI packaging materials properly.
A. Confirm the type of metal that is required to protect (ferrous and non-ferrous metal), choose the relative rust-proof material.
B. Clean and dry the surfaces of the articles for antirust before packing. Then pack and seal them at normal temperature and room temperature. In case of packaging with oil contained, it shall be confirmed there are no chemical components such as S and Cl. contained in oils. Otherwise the chemical components will have negative effects on VCI function.
C. Operate with clean gloves before packing, and do not contact the articles for antirust with naked hands.
D. In case the articles for antirust have projections and edge angles, be careful not to pierce the film during packing. In case of its unintended breakage, it shall be pasted and sealed with a industrial tape in time to ensure its seal.
E. During performing antirust packing operation, the working place shall be kept away from strong corrosive materials and acid-etching gases such as acid or alkali.
F. VCI products are very sensitive to temperature, do not expose them to direct sunlight.
G. Packaging workers must wear clean gloves to avoid contacting with the product directly, so that the product get to rust.
H. The temperature of the workpiece should be consistent with the space temperature.
I. The working environment of the packaging is to avoid excessive moisture and acid, alkali and other corrosive substances and acid corrosive gases.
J. when the large equipment are need to be packed or the workpiece are crowded together,it is recommended that other VCI materials need to be used , such as vci paper, vci powder, etc.
K. When using antirust products, one side which contained the vci should towards the metal products.
L. VCI products and workpiece must be as close as possible, the distance can not be more than 30cm, it can not be placed in other barrier items between the two, the closer the distance, the better the effect.
M. With sealed package, it shall be kept in a cool, dry place, away from sunshine and no contact with sources of ignition and corrosive materials.
